What is the Influential Leaders member spotlight program?

Now in its seventh year, the AACSB's annual Influential Leaders initiative recognizes notable alumni from AACSB-accredited business schools.

My school is not accredited by AACSB. Can we still nominate an Influential Leader?

The Influential Leaders member spotlight program is only open to AACSB-accredited institutions.

What questions must we answer about our nominee?

• Briefly summarize how your nominee is serving as a champion for diversity and inclusion. 
• Briefly summarize how your nominee is using their business education to lead or innovate.
• Briefly summarize how your nominee is inspiring future business leaders. 

We nominated a leader for the previous member spotlights but they were not selected as an honoree. Can we nominate them again?  

Yes, if you previously nominated a leader but they were not selected as an honoree, you may nominate them again.

We nominated a leader for the previous member spotlights and they were selected as an honoree. Can we nominate them again?

No. Leaders who have previously been selected as honorees may not be nominated again.

When is the nomination deadline?

The nomination period closed on October 15, 2021.

Can a nominee be honored posthumously?

No. The 2022 Influential Leaders member spotlight program will not recognize any honorees posthumously.

How many nominations may I submit?

Each AACSB-accredited school may nominate one alumnus/alumna.

Once I start the nomination form, will I be able to save it and return to it at a later time?

Yes! The online platform enables you to save your work and return at a later time. Your nomination is not considered complete until you click the ‘Save and Finalize' button.

How do I access my account?

Your login for all other AACSB platforms will work in the submission system. You may verify your account through the AACSB Member Portal. 

How will AACSB use the information I provide about our Influential Leader?

Honorees will be featured on the AACSB website, social media channels, and within other online content. Schools and honorees will have the opportunity to review profile information prior to the public announcement of the 2022 Class of Influential Leaders. Will AACSB be contacting the nominee at any point during the challenge?

AACSB will not directly contact any nominee. Schools are not required to inform the alumnus/alumna of the nomination, but will be asked to coordinate recognition content and plans if the nominee is selected as an honoree.  

When will we know if our nominee is selected as an honoree?

Honorees will be selected in December 2021. Schools will be notified of selection decisions at that time. AACSB will publicly announce the 2022 Class of Influential Leaders in February 2022.
