The Challenge: 2018 Innovations That Inspire

“Good leaders inspire, manage, and cultivate organizations, business systems, and people to enhance sustainable development of society.”Leaders on Leadership, A Collective Vision for Business Education, AACSB International.

In light of the complex challenges facing organizations and communities today, and as outlined in A Collective Vision for Business Education, it has never been more important for business schools to step forward and identify where and how academe, corporate development centers, consulting firms, and others can partner to cultivate the skills, competencies, and values needed for successful leadership.

For the 2018 Innovations That Inspire, business schools within AACSB's Business Education Alliance were asked to highlight how they have served as a leader on leadership, and identify ways they have created opportunities or environments which nurture, support, and connect others across the leadership development ecosystem. The submission categories fell along the following three dimensions:

  • Strengthening the Understanding of Effective Leadership Development
  • Enhancing Approaches to Leadership Education and Development
  • Cultivating the Business School Leadership Pipeline

A selection of Innovations will be spotlighted the week of April 16, 2018, through a collaborative communications and social media campaign. They will also be featured on the 2018 Innovations That Inspire website, and will be highlighted at AACSB's International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM) in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, April 22-24, 2018

All submissions, both spotlighted or not, will be accessible for members through AACSB’s complete collection of Innovations within DataDirect's Quick Reports, allowing for viewing and benchmarking across all submitted innovations, including from previous years.
